Traditional Flutes

There are so many different keys and shapes and woods and styles of traditional flutes. Lots to choose from and use for your own purposes. We also have a few bass flutes for sale. They all have different style blocks or fetishes, some simple and others complex. I love playing and demonstrating all High Spirits Flutes. Reasonably priced for high quality flutes.

The Native Style Flute is held in front of the player, has open finger holes, and has two chambers: one for collecting the breath of the player and a second chamber which creates sound. The player breathes into one end of the flute without the need for an embouchure. A block on the outside of the instrument directs the player's breath from the first chamber—called the slow air chamber—into the second chamber—called the sound chamber. Native American flutes comprise a wide range of designs, sizes, and variations—far more varied than most other classes of woodwind instruments.  Wikipedia: "Native American flute

Spirit Flutes

Spirit Flutes are a unique and distinctive type of flute that are completely different from traditional flutes. Instead of a Native American Style Flute fetish or block. Spirit Flutes have a flat plate permanently fixed to the body of the flute. This gives the flute a compact profile that is ideal for travel, hiking, backpacking, or any other outdoor activities. I love my Spirit flutes. They're different but very well made and easy to play and to travel with. Most are smaller in size.

432 HZ Flutes

EarthTone 432 Hz Flutes have Rainbow Moonstone cabochon inlays, and a fetish designed to represent a circle of life. EarthTone Flutes Series utilize the 432 Hz tuning frequency for the “A” note, with all the other musical notes aligned accordingly.  It's quite a peaceful experience playing 432 Hz flutes.  I love mine!  We have several in stock! ( Keys of F#, G, A, B, C EarthTone Flutes are all in stock.) Make an appointment here in Campbell River to try them out.  I can demonstrate how to play and offer free lessons for our buyers here.  It's also fun to get together and play flutes inside or outdoors with others.

Signature Flutes

The Signature Series flutes utilize a 1-inch bore size along with a unique airflow design, which provides exceptional responsiveness, precise player control, and superior amplification, all of which make them ideal for a wide range of musicians and musical styles. Every Signature Flute is designed to be both a musical instrument and a beautiful piece of artwork. They are all very special "high end" flutes from High Spirits Flutes!  Reasonably priced for high quality flutes!  They are very special to play and enjoy! They are definitely worth looking at up close and trying them out. I love my Signature Flutes!

Double Flutes

With a double flute you play the melody on one side and the other side provides the drone in the root note of the flute - it sounds like two people are playing.

Double flutes are made from several wood species and several playing levels from Traditional, Spirit or Signature Series. Nova double flutes are handcrafted from domestic Spanish Cedar, which gives them a warm, musical voice and a drone sound. They can sometimes sound also like whistles and whistling and two flutes playing together. Double Flutes add lots of tones and are amazing to play!

Flutes To Start With?

The most important element in picking your first flute is choosing one that fits your fingers and finger size. A flute that is easier to play is played more and enjoyed more. This will allow the learning process to be easy, smooth, and fun. Using High Spirits free instructional videos and free how-to-play booklet definitely help. Several players like smaller flutes for beginners. Many recommend the key of A or G flutes for warmer, lower sounds. Try some flutes out here with Mel in Campbell River,Vancouver Island. If you are in the area I can set up meetings for in person flute playing and discussions. I offers a few free sessions for those who purchase a flute with us.

Reasonable charges for an incredible 30 minute regular Flute Learning Experiences too.

Hopefully in the future we can get a Native Style Flute playing group started in the Campbell River Area!

At the present Time I am only able to receive real paper cash or trades as payments... Also working on e transfers...
