Native Style Wooden Flutes

After much research online I decided to purchase two High Spirits Flutes. It was a good decision. I love playing Native Style Flutes in Campbell River. I love their enthusiasm and expertise in making high quality flutes at fairly reasonable prices.  The flutes are priced at many different price points with many flutes to chose to play. I really like Odell's simple explanations on playing flutes, choosing a flute, and caring for flutes.  The booklet that is provided with each High Spirits Flute is also informative and helpful.

And yes, check out our site here at Videos of Flutes.  High Spirits were the first "Native American Style Flutes" that I purchased and played. I have enjoyed trying out many styles of flutes and never found any problems with any of the High Spirits Flutes. All my Native Flute experiences have been very positive. It's fun to be learning new things every time I play.  I'm definitely very happy with all my  Native Style Flute choices. It just takes a little time to get the knack to play these flutes. Just some simple fingering techniques and using one's breath softly are all that is really needed. No musical knowledge is required!  I can help you.

I'm finding many interesting flute builders and players with many very helpful and interesting videos online. Lots to search and check out. Brent Adams has many reviews of flutes on several of his videos as well as the flutes he makes! He is one of my favourites.

I am hoping to find enough interest and enough flute players to start up some flute circles here and get togethers in the Campbell River Area and in other nearby areas too on Vancouver Island in the Future!  Maybe evenjoin in with some of the drum circles in your area too?

Many original flutes have unique characteristics and tones. Have fun choosing one for yourself!  We have shipped several Native Style Flutes across Canada.

Are Native Style Flutes Handmade?

The term "hand made" is always a bit confusing. Like most instrument makers most Native Style Flutes use power tools to cut & shape the flutes, but from their perspective all their flutes are definitely hand made in that they take each flute through its creation process from selecting the wood, milling, boring, crafting the sound mechanism, oiling and polish, and finally, accurately tuning each flute individually.  Some styles are one piece and others are split and glued.

While living and working up North, I was able to see and hear some original, amazing, Haida Flutes and Whistles up close. The experience was definitely uplifting and one of those life changing memorable experiences... I'm so glad to be able to start playing Native Style Flutes too, after all those years!  It has been an amazing Journey with wooden flutes by using our breath for peaceful serenity and uplifting energy and health!  Wow!!!  Amazing Native Style Flutes to play and learn with and also get healthy with improving our breath!  That's been my experience!
